Or

As a  victim of identity theft, my MA in Psychology from Marist College, and my BS  in Criminology  from University  of  Wisconsin  served me well.  However, my degrees  frustrated me more than  helped my situation. Why?

Because I  have some knowledge of law, it was frustrating to me that law enforcement  treats  identity theft as civil, not criminal.   My background  taught me that theft is a  crime. It  was an eye opener to find that the DA  has  the discretion  whether  to  take a  case or not, based on his whim.  No wonder cyber crime is growing at a  horrific rate…if the thief knows he won’t be punished, why not steal?

Is anyone out there listening?

Has this happened to you?
