Deborahejoyce

Deborah E. Joyce is the author of Identity Theft: A Victim’s Search for Justice and 10 Nights Before Christmas, both available on Amazon. She also writes a blog about identity theft at DeborahEJoyce.com.

She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Paralegal Certification from Marist College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Wisconsin.

Deborah is totally blind, having lost her vision 18 years ago due to undiagnosed cataracts.

She has been a guest speaker for the Nebraska ACB affiliate and the Silver Summit OIB program for seniors in South Dakota, and she has been interviewed by Cami Cavanaugh of the NE Radio Talking Book Station.

In 2025, she was a featured speaker at the ACB National Convention in Dallas alongside Chris Peterson of Penny Forward and joined Chris Prentice, Dallas District Attorney, in a presentation to the Lawyers Affiliate at the convention.

Deborah was also interviewed by Nick Isenberg on The Tactile Traveler Podcast (Episode 61) in May 2025.

Her monthly column, The Identity Vault, debuted in 2022 in Consumer Visions magazine with Bob Branco.

She has presented at local libraries and senior centers in Hawaii, Omaha, and New York.
